Cath Cook completed her Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) in 2018 and brings over 20 years of combined experience supporting women throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, first as a doula and then as a midwife.
Cath has experience across hospital, community and private maternity care. She has a particular passion for providing personalised, woman-centred care and supporting women to feel informed, confident and actively involved in decisions about their pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.
At Aloura Family Practice, Cath provides antenatal and postnatal midwifery care, education about pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding, and support in navigating maternity care options. She believes women deserve the time and space to ask questions, explore their choices and receive evidence-based information without judgement. Her approach is warm, practical and collaborative, with a focus on helping each woman make informed choices that are right for her and her family. Her services are Medicare-rebatable and she is able to order relevant blood tests and ultrasounds as well as prescribe medications within her scope of practice.
