Dr May Ann Wong obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1997 and has since built a broad and diverse career in family medicine. After gaining extensive experience across various areas of general practice, she migrated to Australia in 2008 and began working as a metropolitan GP in Perth. She later achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has proudly made Perth her long-term home.
Dr Wong is passionate about general practice and has undertaken additional training in women’s health, particularly in IUD insertion and removal. Her clinical interests include perimenopause and menopause care, chronic disease management, iron infusions, simple skin excisions and children’s health.
Balancing many roles in her own life – daughter, mother, wife and doctor – Dr Wong brings a genuine understanding of the real-world challenges women face throughout different life stages. This perspective shapes her warm, empathetic and holistic approach to patient care. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.
As a co-founder of Aloura Family Practice, together with her colleague and friend Dr Sehli Quaddus, Dr Wong is delighted to welcome both new and returning patients to their practice. She consults from Monday to Friday.
