Dr Subashini Valayutham graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2006 and has since built a broad and well-rounded career in general practice. She gained valuable experience working across several major hospitals, including Royal Perth Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, before specialising as a General Practitioner.
Following her hospital training, Dr Valayutham worked in both regional Western Australia and at Sexual and Reproductive Health WA (formerly FPWA). These roles have provided her with extensive experience in comprehensive, patient-centred care across a wide range of health needs.
Dr Valayutham has special interests in women’s health, children’s health, mental health, and chronic disease management. She is experienced in performing a range of procedures, including IUD insertion and removal (Mirena, Kyleena and Copper), Implanon insertion and removal, and iron infusions.
Dr Valayutham is fluent in English, Malay, and Tamil, which allows her to communicate comfortably with patients from diverse backgrounds.
She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and works closely with her patients to support their health and wellbeing at every stage of life.
