At Aloura Family Practice, we recognise that adolescence is a time of rapid physical and emotional change. Our doctors are highly experienced in adolescent health and are committed to providing a safe, respectful and confidential environment for young people to discuss their concerns.
We prioritise helping adolescents feel comfortable speaking openly about their health, whether it relates to physical wellbeing, emotional changes or teen mental health. Young people are welcome to consult a GP without a parent or guardian present, which encourages independence and builds trust.
Confidentiality is continually respected. The only exception occurs if the doctor believes the adolescent may be at risk of harm, in these cases, we are ethically and legally obligated to involve a parent or appropriate guardian to ensure the patient’s safety.
Our doctors recognise the importance of supporting adolescent mental health and youth mental health with care and understanding. We provide a safe space for young people to talk about challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, body image and relationship concerns. When additional support is needed, we work collaboratively with psychologists and counsellors to ensure continuity of care.

The adolescent’s own contact details are used for private communication to maintain confidentiality.
Our doctors aim to empower young people to take an active role in their wellbeing through education, open communication and evidence-based care. Whether the concern is teen mental health, menstrual issues, acne, sports injuries or general well-being, our team is here to listen and support adolescents as they move through this stage of life.
